I'm grateful to the Office of Public Service and the Legal Aid Alternative Breaks student group for coordinating annual spring break trips to the Gulf Coast to provide pro bono legal services. I volunteered with the Orleans Parish District Attorney's Office, and a joint grant from the Public Interest Law Foundation and Black Law Students Association made it possible for me to return for the summer.

I picked up where I left off and absorbed a lot from the experience and the attorneys I worked with. It was a good opportunity for me to develop as a future attorney.
